I've probably complained about the ugly wall
outside of my classroom a million times! These
pictures show one way that I've tried to cover it. I
created a musical world with rhythm flowers, a music tree
and the house of music (left). The big eighth notes on
the house were a band project. I gave them a large 8th
note on a piece of white copy paper, crayons, markers, pens
and pencils and told them to draw their "musical
self". This could include their musical
abilities, what they liked to listen to, activities that
they needed music to accompany them (bb practice, sleeping,
etc....) or whatever. I added a construction paper
background and cut the notes out. |
