Fall Into Music History

"Fall into Music History." It is a tree with branches for each of the musical periods. When we studied the different periods, leaves were put on the different branches. Each leaf had a fact about the period. I used this with my 5th graders. During the second semester, we did a unit on the Twentieth Century. We went through decade by decade and listened to music representative of that time. My students really liked ending the year with a pop lesson! I had a large branch for the Twentieth century and small twigs for each decade.
