Go Wild With These Rhythms

This was a fun bulletin board to make.  I bought a zebra table cloth on clearance this summer for $1.50 and used it as the back to this bulletin board.  It didn’t quite cover the entire board so I cut out big green paper leaves and stapled them all around the edges.  I scattered them around and layered them so they had a 3-D look.  Using Print Shop I printed the names of various animals with a rhythm that matched the number of syllables in its name.  For example “alligator” was ta ta ta ta (4 quarter notes).  I printed each name in a weird and colorful font and printed.  I backed them with various sheets of construction paper and added them to the zebra background.

In place of the zebra table cloth you could make a wild animal design of your own with black markers on white paper.  Also you could print out a sheet from your computer and then make as many copies as you need to cover the back on the copier.  Look for animal print material or wrapping paper too.
