Hamburger Helpers

(idea from The Village School.)

Collect Styrofoam sandwich containers from a restaurant and clean them. Cut the container in half and place a half container for each classroom job on your bulletin board. Inside the container you should have a label with the job title and a small piece of magnetic strip. Make small hamburgers for each student with their name on the front and a magnetic strip on the back. Each week attach a different student's hamburger to each container.

Variations: You may want to use this idea to create an interactive bulletin board. Have each hamburger container be labeled "dynamics" or "tempo" and have the hamburgers contain words like "presto", "andante" "mezzo forte" and so on.
