Reading Music is a Picnic

For this bulletin board you will need a plastic gingham table cloth, a few plastic or paper plates, a cake or cupcake notepad and a black sharpie.  Attach the tablecloth to use as the background of your bulletin board.  On the plates I put the treble clef line names, treble clef space names, bass clef line names and bass clef space names.  On the cakes I put notes and their note value name (quarter note, eighth note, etc... as well as rests.  Once the board was up and all the elements in place I took a black permanent marker and drew the ant bodies on.  Click the thumbnails for more details.
