Rap It Clap It Costume Craziness Candy Corn Puzzlers Bundle
Rap It, Clap It, Music Match It:  Costume Craziness     $3.00 Candy Corn Music Puzzle Bundle    $7.00
Rap it, Clap it, Music Match it is an activity that challenges students to say the name of the picture on 12 thematic cards, clap it to discover the number of syllables it has and then match it to notes that represent those syllables. Notes included are quarter note and barred eighth notes.

Please be sure to leave feedback and earn TpT credits. Your feedback helps me create better products for your classroom!

Included in this download is a sheet of directions suitable for using in a center or workstation, 3 syllable/rhythm pattern pile guides, 12 cards (6 to a sheet), a recording worksheet that asks students to circle the rhythm they hear and a second worksheet that asks students to write down their answer under the correct number of syllables/rhythm pattern.

Although great consideration has been given to the varying ways that the pictures may be pronounced in various areas of the world, you may find instances where a three syllabled word is listed as “ta titi”(quarter barred eighths) when you would say it as “titi ta” (barred eighths quarter note). For this and other differences in pronunciation, an answer key for the worksheets has not been included. I think you will find the worksheets are simple and quick to grade even without the key.

Use them in music centers or workstations, as part of whole group instruction or in your private studio. If you dont have dabbers you can have students color in their response or use dot stickers instead.

In this download you will receive 4 worksheets in two formats.
1 worksheet that asks students to dab the picture of the instrument that matches the character
1 worksheet that asks students to dab the name of the instrument that matches the character
1 worksheet that asks students to dab adjectives that describe each character
1 worksheet that asks students to dab a path from the character to the matching instrument

The first format uses the word dab and the second uses the word color. Use the first set with dabbers and use the second set with crayons or markers.

  Roll and Cover Spring
  Music Roll and Cover   $3.00
Grab some dice and lets get rolling! Roll and Cover is an activity that can be used with partners, small groups and individually (although with a friend is more fun!).

To play, students roll a standard die, then look on the Roll and Cover sheet to see what note or symbol that represents. The next step is to find a piece of the picture puzzle with that same note or symbol it and color it. Play continues and the next person has a turn in a similar fashion. The first one to cover all of the symbols WINS!

In this edition, students will color spring time pictures. Dice value and note values are matched up when possible. Included on these sheets: quarter note, half note, dotted half note, whole note, treble clef and bass clef.

Two versions are included. The first version lists the note or clef that matches the symbol in the picture. The second version uses words and the students have to identify it by finding the symbol in the picture.

Rap It, Clap It, Music Match it Sets

Rap it, Clap it, Music Match it is an activity that challenges students to say the name of the picture on 12 thematic cards, clap it to discover the number of syllables it has and then match it to notes that represent those syllables.  Notes included are quarter note and barred eighth notes.

Included in each Rap It, Clap It, Music Match It download is a sheet of directions suitable for using in a center or workstation, 3 syllable/rhythm pattern pile guides, 12 cards (6 to a sheet), a recording worksheet that asks students to circle the rhythm they hear and a second worksheet that asks students to write down their answer under the correct number of syllables/rhythm pattern.

Although great consideration has been given to the varying ways that the pictures may be pronounced in various areas of the world, you may find instances where a three syllabled word is listed as ta titi(quarter barred eighths) when you would say it as titi ta (barred eighths quarter note).  For this and other differences in pronunciation, an answer key for the worksheets has not been included.  I think you will find the worksheets are simple and quick to grade even without the key.
